I typically do not follow up with feedback but this particular situation most certainly deserves to be noticed. I have owned my own company for about 10 years as a side business to my formal job as a Director of Operations at a national facility company. I semi-retired from my Director post and decided to go full time with my business last year and have been blessed to be given many opportunities to grow. I incurred starting costs, inventory costs and such along the way and was looking for an alternative that would allow me to consolidate my small loans into one so it would be easier to manage. I reached out to several companies and was told that there was no such a product that would allow me to convert from weekly payments into monthly, more easily managed payments. I was about to give up my quest and came across Nerdwallet one afternoon so I decided to give my goal one last attempt. I started working with Kiran Bryan and from the very start, he made me feel welcome and supported. He assured me that if there was a way to do it, he would find it. I liked his demeanor and decided to give it a chance. The task seemed almost impossible at times with the information that was being asked of us but Kiran did an excellent job reassuring me to stay the course and continue with the process. DO NOT SHARE YOUR INFO WITH THIS COMPANY. They will sell your contact info to THOUSANDS of loansharks that will harass you 20+ times a day from spoofed phone numbers and rerouted emails. There is no way to opt out. I had to change my phone number and email to get away from the never ending calls, texts and emails.

I’ve now used Fundera 3 times. I’m a small business and they helped me with getting a PPP loan during COVID, getting a short term loan to do some upgrades around the restaurant and also a long term loan to help consolidate debt and gain working capital. Stay away from Gyasi Barber (Not Honest) he has been calling me to get me to get a loan, after I agreed and after he promised that they had products that would be similar to legit banks, he convinced me to do the application and run credit, after I did, he said the real estate industry and the state of Connecticut are very hard to get money for, as if he didn't know I was in CT and I was in the real estate business, I have good credit and stable business, he was trying to charge me 17% interest and charge me 3% origination fee as if I have bad credit or desparate, so my advise unless you're desperate, stay away and go with a legit bank.

My experience isn’t complete as of yet. However, I can comment as to my interactions up until this point. Maxwell is very easy to contact he responds well by phone call or text message. There has been a couple of bumps along the road. First of all due to some issues with the funding institution or some other communication malfunction my funds have not come through in a timely manner as stated. Each time I’ve contacted Maxwell to inquire it’s pretty much the same response “it’s being processed”. Of course it’s understandable that glitches do arise from time to time so it’s important to be patient and wait for things to play out. As of this point, because my funding isn’t completed, I hope my review will come across as neutral. I look forward to completing my funding and a providing a complete review that is 💯 positive. They were not able to find what I was looking for this time around, but Ralph (whom I worked with) was professional, moved quickly, and when I declined their offer, he offered a very classy and memorable response. he is an option down the road if needed. To address some people's negative reviews about selling information, Fundera is a broker - not a direct lender. That's what they do in order to shop the marketplace for you and they are clear about what they do. One needs to know what they are looking for and who they are working with.
I requested a loan application from Nerdwallet over a year ago for business expansion loan. I immediately and are still getting calls and emails daily from predatory lenders from around the country. My wife gets them as well. Do not give this company your information you will be fighting and blocking calls and emails for years after.

Working with Savannah Stejer was very helpful. She was knowledgeable and communicated this information in a way that made understanding the different options very easy. Her prompt attention to any questions asked were much appreciated.
I submitted my information to Fundera and was contacted almost immediately by a representative named Tyler Cook. He explained that Fundera would use the information I submitted to gather loan offers for my business. He emphasized that they do "soft pulls" that would not effect my credit score. It sounded great and he said he would be in touch within a couple days with some options. He even sounded so legit that I had my business partner submit his info (including ss #) to the secure portal link he sent me. I am usually overly cautious about giving social security numbers to anyone, but I thought NerdWallet was a reputable company. The next day I got a notice from a credit card monitoring service reporting a credit inquiry. So I sent Tyler a text asking him about it. Once again, he stated that Fundera does not do hard credit pulls and it must be from someone else I applied with. I told him I had not even talked to anyone else so there was no way it was from anyone else. He said he would double check with his team, but Fundera "takes their no hard pull policy seriously." He never followed up. I have reached out to him via phone, email and text and he will not answer me. I cannot get anyone from Nerdwallet or Fundera to respond to me via their support requests and they have no phone numbers listed.
Whatever you do, do not put your cell and email. You will get harassed by Merchant Cash Advance people. So regretful.
